Success of SPEK students in the competition

Students of the English Language and Literature Study Program at the University of Zenica participated in the project "Applied Ecolinguistic Research into Environmental Education and Sustainable Development of Future Foreign Language Teachers in the FBiH", which was organized by the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Mostar, with financial support from the Federal Ministry of Education and Science and under the auspices of the British Council. The project task included the development of teaching materials and a short accompanying video that integrates aspects of ecolinguistics, environmental education and sustainable development in foreign language teaching. Students of foreign language teacher training programs, graduate teachers employed in educational institutions in the FBiH, as well as unemployed graduate teachers residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina were eligible to participate.

We are proud to inform you that our students achieved outstanding results, winning all three (or four) awards on the project. The winner announcement ceremony was held online on May 24, 2025, and our students also won valuable prizes:

  1. place: Amar Gorović (prize worth 300 KM)
  2. place: Nejla Telalović (prize worth 200 KM)
  3. place (shared): Adna Cero and Muhamed Đuhera (prize worth 100 KM each).

Sincere congratulations to our students for their creativity, knowledge and dedication! Their success represents an important contribution to the promotion of sustainable education and an interdisciplinary approach to foreign language teaching, but also a significant promotion of the English Language and Literature Study Program, Faculty of Philosophy and University of Zenica.
