A message to the graduates of the Department of English, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zenica

Esteemed and dear graduates of the Department of English, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zenica,

Regardless of the occasions in which it takes place, today's graduation ceremony is a solemn act for both you and us. It marks the end of a stage in your lives, recognition for many years of effort and work on yourself and your education, the most valuable resource, asset and achievement not only for you, but also for your families, your community and our country as a whole.

For some of you, this has already made it possible to gain work experience, and for some, it has stimulated the desire to acquire new knowledge in the second cycle of studies at our faculty, which makes us as proud as your teachers who, together with you, were and will be a part of that process.

Knowledge generates values that are not exclusively material in nature. I am convinced that the knowledge you have acquired here about the English language, about the English language and ways of teaching English will open many doors and opportunities for you to apply and use that knowledge, but also to work on it continuously.

Finally, dear graduates of the Department of English Language and Literature, I would like to once again congratulate you on the successful completion of your first cycle of higher education and wish you much personal and professional success, happiness and satisfaction.

Head of Department,
Assoc. prof. Ph.D. Edina Rizvić-Eminović
