IN MEMORIAM – Lada Šestić

On the seventeenth of February 2016, two years have passed since the death of prof. Ph.D. Lada Šestić, a distinguished longtime university professor. Professor Šestić completed the study of English language and literature and French at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo. At the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, she defended her doctoral dissertation entitled "Forms with the suffix -ing in the English language and corresponding Serbo-Croatian structures in the technical register". In London, she specialized in general and English phonetics and linguistics. She was a lecturer at Sarajevo and Zenica universities. The areas of her scientific work are morphosyntax, phonetics and phonology, English technical register and English language teaching methodology. She was a member of the European Association for Testing and Assessment in Living Language Teaching. She retired in 2009.
