THE FRENCH CORNER CEREMONY OPENED AT THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY IN ZENICA

As a result of the long-standing cooperation between the University of Zenica and the University of Poitiers, the opening ceremony of the French Corner was held at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica. The French Corner was officially opened by H.E. Mr. François Delmas, Ambassador of the Republic of France in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the opening was attended by Prof. Dr. Jusuf Duraković, Prof. Dr. Alica Arnaut, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, guests from the University of Poitiers and employees of the University of Zenica.
"This event represents an important step in strengthening cultural, linguistic and academic ties between France and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I can say Francophonie and BiH. Especially in the Zenica-Doboj Canton," said Ambassador François Delmas.
Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Ph.D. Alica Arnaut, pointed out that the French corner will be a space where the French language, culture and tradition will be promoted, and the corner will be moved to a larger space after the adaptation of the appropriate premises.
At the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica a free French language course is also in progress for students and teachers of the University of Zenica, for which about 70 participants applied.
