THE FIRST MEETING OF THE WORKING GROUP FOR THE PROMOTION OF WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SPORT WAS HELD

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the first working meeting for the promotion of project activities of women's empowerment through sports was held at our faculty. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Rugby Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with which the Faculty of Philosophy signed a cooperation protocol, as well as representatives of the Department of Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian Language and Literature and the Department of General Cultural Studies. The goal is to (s)destroy prejudices regarding gender identities while opposing the (un)hidden patriarchal patterns that are omnipresent in our society. Although special emphasis is placed on the formation of a functional and successful women's rugby team, the task of the working group is to design a campaign that will actively empower women through sports, while promoting sports values and the importance of sports both for the individual and for society as a whole.
