THE 10TH INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC-PROFESSIONAL MEETING "SCIENCE AND MODERNITY" WAS HELD
The jubilee 10th international scientific and professional gathering of the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica "Science and Modernity" was held on Thursday, May 30. 2024 at Hotel Zenica. This gathering was the last activity within the "Days of the Faculty of Philosophy" manifestation, which marked 30 years of existence and work of the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica. This year the Gathering brought together 92 eminent participants, both from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia and Turkey. 59 scientific and professional papers were presented, which after the review process were accepted for publication in the journal SaZnanje.
The first such gathering at the then Faculty of Education was held 18 years ago. The topic of the Meeting at that time was most closely related to current issues of education. With the transformation of the Faculty of Pedagogy into the Faculty of Philosophy and the launch of new study programs, the range of scientific fields and disciplines expanded, as well as current questions that were tried to be answered through scientific and professional papers at meetings organized by the Faculty of Philosophy. And at this, tenth in a row, scientific-professional gathering, the intention was to point out contemporary trends, problems, but also examples of good practices in social sciences and humanities through the presentation of scientific-research and professional papers.
Special guests at the opening of the Gathering were first-grade students of the "Meša Selimović" Elementary School with teachers Berina Šećibović and Marizela Terzić, who welcomed the guests with the performance "Once upon a time" and the song "Nad Zenica nebo".
Plenary presenters at the 10th International Scientific and Professional Meeting of the Faculty of Philosophy were out. prof. Ph.D. Emina Dedić Bukvić from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo and Darko Cvijetić, Bosnia and Herzegovina. writer, playwright, director and actor. The topics of the plenary presentations offered an insight into the state and perspectives of education and culture in modern times.
