STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY IN THE PROFESSIONAL TOUR OF THE BOSNIAN NATIONAL THEATER

Students from several study programs at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica, members of the newly established Student Theater Club of the Faculty of Philosophy, visited the building of the Bosnian National Theater (BNP) Zenica. During this visit, the students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the capacities, infrastructure and work of this renowned cultural center. The visit was carried out in the company of assistant professor Hazim Begagić and under the expert guidance of actor and drama pedagogue Miroljub Mijatović, director of the BNP, who provided the students with a unique insight into the theater spaces and work processes in the only professional theater in central Bosnia. During the visit, the students toured the hall and capacities of the Big Stage, other stage spaces, technical and scenographic workshops, stage lighting and sound booths, actors' wardrobes, rehearsal rooms and warehouses, during which they had the opportunity to learn more about the organization and challenges of theater production. Through inspiring leadership, Mijatović emphasized the importance of a national theater as a platform for free artistic expression and social dialogue, and encouraged students to constantly explore their own creative potential.
"This visit was extremely useful for our Theater Club, which we managed to launch this year. We learned a lot about how a theater functions from the inside, but we also became motivated for future work, and perhaps our own theater projects," said Adin Kadrić, one of the members of the Student Theater Club and a final-year student of the Cultural Studies program, emphasizing the importance of such experiences for young creatives.
The Student Theatre Club was founded with the aim of promoting theatre arts among students of the Faculty of Philosophy and the University of Zenica, as well as creating a platform for students' artistic expression and their creative projects. This visit represents the first step in the cooperation of the Theatre Club with BNP, although the exceptionally good partnership between the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica and the Bosnian National Theatre has been developing for years. With the establishment of the Student Theatre Club, this cooperation is intended to be further improved, and new joint projects are already in preparation. The Bosnian National Theatre in Zenica continues to be a key pillar of cultural life in Zenica and the wider region, supporting young talents and providing them with the opportunity to develop their skills in a professional and creative environment.
The student visit ended with a friendly conversation and agreements on holding creative workshops and possibilities for producing student theater projects, with support on the BNP stages.
