As part of the opening of the Day of the Faculty of Philosophy on the occasion of 30 years since the establishment and operation of the Faculty of Philosophy, the exhibition "Documents from the archives, memories are alive" was presented. The exhibition consists of four separate, but completely connected segments:
About the creation of a letter: first it is, then it changes;
Being is only people and noble wills;
To leave behind deeds, which even death does not erase;
They are not breathing, but they are still alive, even now that they are gone.
The first part of the exhibition is dedicated to the creation of today's Faculty of Philosophy, following the development path from the Pedagogical Academy, through the Faculty of Pedagogy to the Faculty of Philosophy. Some of the key documents that reflect and testify to the evolutionary changes of our faculty are on display, among which we particularly highlight the decision of the Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the establishment of the Pedagogical Academy in Zenica, signed by President Alija Izetbegović.
In the second and third part of the exhibition, the staff and students of the faculty are presented, following both curricular and extracurricular activities, starting from the first generations until today. Our premises were always decorated with a playful and curious spirit, which was transmitted from the staff to our students. All together, for three decades, we have been traveling through the vast expanses of knowledge and understanding, stepping towards the same goal - a self-aware and developed personality adorned with universal life and educational values. Guided by the idea that imparting knowledge is much easier and less challenging than education, we cherish the principle that for the process of imparting knowledge you need to know something, and for education you have to be something. We are aware that the sweet but arduous path of education for both teachers and students, additionally burdened by the challenges of modern times, has neither perfection nor completion.
The last part of the exhibition is dedicated to those who have been with our faculty from the very beginning, selflessly contributing to its growth and progress, and who, unfortunately, are no longer with us. It is also proof that our noble deeds transcend all the inevitabilities and limitations of the human age and bring us to life, even if only for a short time, in the memories of those who will come and be far, far after us.
