Workshop with Ellen Paul

The English Language and Literature study program, in cooperation with the American Corner Zenica, organized a workshop led by Prof. Ellen Paul, a visiting professor from Fort Lewis College in Durango (Colorado, USA). The topic of the workshop was “Healing the Past: Reconciliation and Native Americans and First Nations in North America—the case of Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado”. The workshop attracted great attention, especially among high school students from the Catholic School Center “St. Paul” in Zenica, who were part of the audience together with students of the English Language and Literature study program. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn more about the complex history of Native peoples in the USA and Canada, and about contemporary initiatives aimed at reconciliation and the restoration of relations using the example of Fort Lewis College. It is especially encouraging that the workshop aroused a lot of interest and questions from the audience, which led to a very dynamic and open discussion.
