PUBLIC CALL FOR STUDENT TRAINING OF ALL FACULTIES IN ZENICA - BECOME A POLITICAL LEADER!
This is an opportunity for all students to acquire new knowledge and skills, to apply them in practice and to receive financial support for this. If you want to strengthen your leadership capacities, learn how to advocate for the political leadership of young people and women, then apply for a public call.
The TPO Foundation, in cooperation with the University of Zenica, as part of the NIRA project, announces a public call for participation in the training for all students in Zenica "Become a political leader!". The goal of the training is to teach young people how to advocate for changes in the local community and increase the number of young people and women in politics.
All interested students will attend a two-day training that consists of the following topics:
- Strengthening skills and fostering leadership among young people
- Political advocacy and negotiation to solve the problems and needs of young people in the local community
- How to create an advocacy plan and successful strategy
- Presentation and image creation in the media
After the training, all participants will have the opportunity to design a civic initiative that will contribute to positive changes in the local community and the inclusion of young people and women in politics. The ten best proposals for initiatives will receive grants to implement them in their local community.
After the training, participants will:
- To be trained to create an advocacy strategy and create an advocacy plan
- Acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for the realization of a political campaign
- Learn how to become recognizable on the political scene in the local community
- Recognize the challenges related to youth and women's issues in politics
- To be additionally sensitized for respect for human rights and gender equality
- Financially supported to implement a civic initiative in their local community regarding the political leadership of young people and women
Obligations of training participants:
- Attend the two-day training and planned activities
- Create an advocacy initiative in your local community
- Implement all agreed activities of the approved project (advocacy initiative)
Selected training participants will be provided with work materials, food, refreshments and travel expenses. Participants who successfully complete the training and apply for an advocacy initiative will receive a certificate.
The application deadline is June 26, 2020.
