PROMOTION OF THE BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA NATIONAL CORPS HELD

The first promotion of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian National Corpus was held today at the Faculty of Philosophy. Our guests were Dr. Sc. Jasmin Hodžić, Director of the Institute of Language in Sarajevo, Dr. Sc. Zenaida Karavdić, Research Associate at the Institute, and Prof. Dr. Vedad Smailagić from the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, who is also the head of the team for the development of the Corpus. Through a dynamic and interesting presentation of the Corpus, students and employees of our faculty were introduced to the methods of entering data into the Corpus, as well as the tools for searching it.

At a meeting with the Dean of the Faculty, the modalities of including our students in the process of entering texts into the Corpus were discussed.

The national corpus of Bosnia and Herzegovina represents a platform that already at this stage can serve researchers for the analysis of various phenomena, primarily philological in the area of the Bosnian language, but also in various contrastive analyses.
