Let's stop femicide in BiH

Today, in the premises of the Faculty of Philosophy, within the framework of the campaign '16 days of activism against gender-based violence', a short performance Stopping femicide in BiH was held, in which students of the Faculty of Philosophy participated. The event was held with the support of the TPO Foundation from Sarajevo and the UNIGEM project. We express our special gratitude to the Center for Women's Rights Zenica for providing the part of the choreography about femicide. Femicide is the last stage in long-term violence against women. In BiH, the 'epidemic' of femicide has been going on for months, and there is no indication that the violence and murders of women will stop. With this short performance, we wanted to draw attention to the social community and the way in which violence against women is treated in public. Also, this is a message to the competent institutions to provide more serious protection to the victims of violence, as well as not to react to violence by accusing the victim and advising her that sometimes she needs to endure some hardship and stay with the abuser.
