Addressing the students of Cultural Studies, Mrs. Popović offered one of the possible readings of the feminist geography of hemorrhagic points of discrimination to which women and all other minority groups are exposed within the patriarchal social matrix. She also spoke about the combination of corporate capital and the neoliberal market and the most rigid retrograde ideologies that, for example, are ready to use new technologies for a kind of femicide, as in the case of selective abortions in India, as a result of which the demographic picture is rapidly changing, all because of the custom of the future son-in-law's family must be rewarded with a generous dowry.
The lecturers are from eminent cultural institutions, this kind of lectures are becoming a regular event at the Faculty of Philosophy, we invite students and colleagues from other faculties to attend the sessions "Thursdays at 12 noon" as well as the general public.
Nedžad Fejzić, philosopher and cultural worker, will give a lecture next Thursday at the Department of General Cultural Studies.
