Lecture by prof. Dr. Laurence Ellena

On Thursday, May 8, 2025, Prof. Dr. Laurence Ellena from the University of Poitiers (France) gave a lecture to students of the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica on the topic "Seeing society: Visual approaches to sociological inquiry". In her lecture, Prof. Ellena spoke about traditional sociological approaches to film as a subject of research, and about film as a tool of sociology in understanding social phenomena.

At the University of Poitiers, Prof. Ellena teaches the courses Sociology of Art and Sociology of Film. In addition, Prof. Ellena is the head of the CREADOC (Writing and Directing Documentary Sound and Film) master's program in Angoulême.
