At the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica, a lecture was held by dr. Jadranke Rebeka Anić: "Anti-gender movement and populist discourses"

The Department of Culture and Tourism at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica organized a lecture entitled "Anti-gender movement and populist discourses", which was given by Dr. Jadranka Rebeka Anić, associate at the Institute of Social Sciences "Ivo Pilar" from Split.
The lecture was co-organized by the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica and the TPO Foundation from Sarajevo.
dr. In her presentation, Anić talked about the development and influence of anti-gender narratives, and the way in which populist discourses in contemporary societies instrumentalize gender issues in order to preserve conservative values. She emphasized the importance of understanding the broader social and ideological context in which anti-gender campaigns are shaped, as well as the need for a critical and academic response to such phenomena.
The lecture stimulated a discussion about the consequences that anti-gender narratives have on the education system, legislative policies, and the everyday lives of citizens.
This event once again confirmed the importance of opening a space for dialogue on contemporary social challenges and the need to connect the academic community with topics of broader social importance.
