The Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica, in cooperation with the TPO Foundation from Sarajevo, and within the UNIGEM project of the University of Zenica, on December 2, 2024, organized an international conference "Culture of memory and gender: gender-based violence in war and the continuation of misogynistic projects in the post-war period in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region". The importance of this conference is reflected in the questioning of misogyny and stigma towards victims of violence, both in the war and post-war period, but also in valorizing the feminist contribution in deconstructing such narratives in our everyday life. The conference was held as part of the campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence", and researchers from the academic and activist spheres, with regional and international influence, participated. The conference was attended by: Lepa Mlađenović, Sabiha Husic, Olivera Simic, Sarina Bakić, Selma Alispahić, Vildana Jackman, Zilka Spahić-Šiljak, Medina Mujic, Larisa Mahmic-Kobilica, Senad Arnaut, Edisa Gazetić and conference moderator – Hazim Begagić.
