DAYS OF THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY IN ZENICA PROMOTION "BIBLIOGRAPHY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY IN ZENICA (2003-2023)"

Today, as part of the "Days of the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica" event, the promotion of the "Bibliography of the Proceedings of the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica (2003-2023)" was held. Its author Aras Borić, head of the University Library of the University of Zenica, spoke about the bibliography, noting that the mentioned publication was created as a result of the processing of library material, i.e. the so-called analytical processing of serial publications, which is carried out within the framework of the Bosnian national library and information system on the platform of the COBISS system ( Co-operative Online Bibliographic System and Services).

The bibliography consists of a list of 454 bibliographic units, as well as author, subject and register of personal names, and in accordance with the International Standard Bibliographic Description (ISBD), all works published in the "Collection" are described. The arrangement of units is organized according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC), within whose groups the bibliographic units are arranged in alphabetical order. Each bibliographic unit contains full information about the article with appropriate notes, including the classification UDK-designation, while special attention is devoted to the creation of subject definitions, that is, to the content analysis of works, where each bibliographic unit is assigned appropriate personal, corporate, thematic, geographical and temporal subject determinants and sub-determinants subordinate to them.

The first issue of the "Collection" was published in 2003, and since then a total of 21 years/issues have been published, in which 223 authors from our country and abroad have published 454 scientific and professional papers in the social and humanistic fields. The bibliography is published in electronic form and is available to the public at web-pages of the University of Zenica together with bibliographies of other journals published by the University of Zenica. In this way, our general public, in a very reviewed and accessible way, was given an insight into the scientific research that takes place at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica and the University of Zenica, as well as the signposts indicated in which direction certain scientific fields are developing and which general trends prevail in social and humanities. The author of the bibliography, Aras Borić, pointed out that he hopes that this bibliography will be a useful tool for the work of scientists engaged in similar research, as well as for all teachers, experts, students and professionals interested in scientific and professional production in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
