Announcement of the premiere of the cartoon "Hopsy und Lopsy in Deutschland"

German language and literature study program of the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica, with mentorship Emine Sinanovic, experts in practice, and Prof. Dr. Belma Polić, proudly presents the cartoon Hopsy und Lopsy in Deutschland. This project, created by students of the 4th year, brings an animated world in which, in addition to interesting characters, German car brands, sports brand Adidas, dm drugstore, famous German sweets such as Haribo candies, German football players, and many other things that are in the daily life of students and are connected with the German-speaking area are shown.

The cartoon, which was conceived and realized by a student team, is not only creatively rich, but also very entertaining and age-appropriate. In addition, the students have added their own voices to it, which further adds to the authenticity and charm of this educational animation.

The premiere of the cartoon will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 2:30 p.m., in the premises of the Faculty of Philosophy., and the guests will be 6th grade students from the partner elementary school Edhem Mulabdić from Zenica. After the premiere, the cartoon and the accompanying workbook will be available to all interested parties, allowing everyone to enjoy this innovative approach to learning the German language.

This cartoon has a special value because it offers something that is missing in traditional textbooks – motivation and recognition of familiar elements from students’ everyday lives, without a direct “scientific” approach, immediately introducing students to the language through a context that is familiar to them. In this way, students can discover the connections between the German language and their everyday lives, while having fun and learning at the same time.

Emina Sinanović, the mentor of this project, expressed great satisfaction that the students successfully realized such a creative and demanding activity, which will surely leave a lasting impression on everyone who will watch it.
