Welcome of freshmen at the Faculty of Philosophy

A ceremonial welcome ceremony for freshmen was held at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica, marking the start of classes in the new academic year. This year's welcome ceremony is particularly significant because the Faculty of Philosophy enrolled a significantly larger number of new students compared to previous years, which confirms the growing interest of young people in studying humanities and social sciences.
On behalf of the Faculty, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Acting Prof. Dr. Alica Arnaut, addressed the freshmen, wishing them a successful start to their studies. “The world around us is sometimes chaotic, but you have the power to give it meaning, to bring knowledge, empathy and new energy into it. Thank you for deciding to make the Faculty of Philosophy your station, your home and your community,” said Dean Arnaut. After the ceremonial address, the Heads of Study Programmes introduced the students to basic information about the course of study, activities and opportunities offered by the Faculty.
A special moment of the event was the awarding of the index, which symbolically made students a part of the academic community. The program ended with a student gathering, which provided an opportunity for students to get to know each other and exchange experiences among colleagues and teachers.
