Participation in the international workshop “BioNetworks: Modeling, Algorithms, & Statistics”

Vehid Kurtić, assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics and Informatics and doctoral student at the Faculty of Science, University of Montenegro, participated in the international workshop "BioNetworks: Modeling, Algorithms, & Statistics", held on July 7 and 8, 2025 in Cetinje, Montenegro.

The workshop was organized within the framework of COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) actions called "Information, Coding and Biological Function - DYNALIFE (The Dynamics of Life)", and brought together researchers and professors from different parts of Europe.

Vehid Kurtić presented the results of his research on the topic at this event. "Probabilistic Matrix Factorization", implemented under mentorship Prof. Dr. Vladimir Jaćimović from the Faculty of Science in Podgorica. The lecture aroused interest among the participants, especially due to the application of models in the analysis of biological data.

Participation in such an event is a significant experience for young researchers, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas, network, and further develop research competencies.
