DURING THE 23RD INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF BH. DRAMA CONSOLIDATED INSTITUTIONAL COOPERATION BETWEEN THE FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY AND THE BOSNIAN NATIONAL THEATER ZENICA

The 23rd Festival of Bosnian Drama Zenica 2024 was held in the Bosnian National Theater in Zenica from May 23 to 31 this year. For the fourth year already, students of the Faculty of Philosophy in Zenica make an exceptional contribution to this international theater festival, which represents one of the most significant cultural manifestations in to the country.

Students of the study programs Cultural Studies and Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian language and literature, as well as other study programs of the Faculty of Philosophy, regularly followed all theater performances in Takmičarski, as well as programs within the accompanying festival content. In this way, as young members of the festival audience, they made an exceptional contribution to the festival's dynamics, actively participating in discussions and analyzes of the viewed artistic content.

And this project once again confirmed the excellent long-term cooperation between the Faculty of Philosophy and the Bosnian National Theater of Zenica as the only professional theater company and the largest artistic organization in Central Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Festival of Bosnian Drama in Zenica is the only festival of national dramaturgy and as such represents an indispensable part of the theater system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the most important international cultural event in Zenica and the wider region, and for students of cultural studies and literature it is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with dramatic and literary contemporary creativity and heritage, as well as with current artistic production and tendencies.

At this year's Festival, seven performances were shown in the Main Program, of which as many as five world premieres of contemporary dramas, one from BiH. premiere performance, as well as one premiere performance of the dramatization of prose works in Bosnia and Herzegovina. author. In addition to the performances in the main event, around 15 events were also performed in the accompanying programs - exhibitions, promotions, play readings and theater performances for children.
