Writing, music, design, journalism and IT: Helem Nejse presents the Talent Academy for young people

The Helem Nejse Art Collective and the EKIPA Foundation invite all interested young people to apply for the Helem Nejse Talent Academy, a seven-day summer school in the field of creative industries that will be held from August 2 to 10 at eight different locations in Sarajevo.

For seven days, more than 50 lecturers will work with participants who will be divided into five programs: Comedy Writing, Applied Music Production, Graphic Design and Animation, Journalism and New Media, and Responsible Programming.

In addition, critical thinking workshops will be organized for participants, which emphasize creative industries as a tool for creating a better social and political environment.

The lecturers come from all over the region, and among them are names known to the general public such as Aleksadr Stanković, Damir Šagolje, Marko Louis, Bojan Hadžihalilović, Selma Alispahić... In addition to theoretical lectures, participants will have the opportunity to hear the experiences of established professionals from the industry, do practical work and to visit music studios, newsrooms and successful regional companies.

"Talent Academy is something we needed and didn't have: a space for learning and developing talent, a place to connect with creative people from the region, an opportunity for concrete work and realization of ideas. And it's completely free. It doesn't matter whether you have a degree or are studying, it is important that in your application you show your talent, idea, desire, something interesting and valuable that you have already worked on. And we will make sure that you enjoy yourself during the Academy, get relevant and usable knowledge, quality mentors, but also a life experience that you will remember for a long time.

He will also share with the participants his experiences of working on various projects, from theater performances, through radio shows and podcasts, to the production of video spots, the TV quiz "Znzkvi" and the hit animated series "Bruca Braca Bruda Brada".

How to apply?

Applications are open from May 20 to June 4, and individuals between the ages of 18 and 27 who come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia or Macedonia can apply.

Those who are selected as participants also receive a scholarship that covers the costs of travel, accommodation, food and drinks during the duration of the Academy.
