Nedžad Fejzić's lecture on "The Spectacle of Culture as Entertainment"
"Thursday at 12" session of the Department of General Cultural Studies - guest lecture by Nedžad Fejzić on the topic "Cultural Spectacle as Entertainment"
Nedžad Fejzić is a philosopher and a recognized cultural worker, theater expert of the BNP Zenica
Students of Cultural Studies and the academic public had the opportunity to enjoy an inspired and interesting presentation in which Fejzić spoke about the spectacle of culture as entertainment, about the perverted world of the media in the age of the spectacle society that produces the illusion of reality. Mass media were not created for the transmission of lofty messages and public knowledge, but for the circulation of visual communications around the world. Signs are media culture without messages. Their only meaning is in the "meaninglessness" of informational implosion.
The guest of the next session is Selvedin Avdić, our fellow citizen and one of the most promising writers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
