  • INTRODUCTION
2.1. Reasons for starting the study At the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica, since 2005, classes have been successfully held in the 1st cycle at the Department of Turkish Language and Literature. The uniqueness of Bosnian culture and tradition, heritage and their compatible combination with the tradition of the Republic of Turkey; the need for a combination of traditional and contemporary; striving for the original transposition of scientific content into teaching content; sophisticated professional knowledge and stable value conception are the reasons for starting the II cycle. In accordance with the Bologna Declaration, the continuation of the first cycle is a master's study (second cycle) that prepares students for independent teaching of Turkish language and literature in educational institutions of all profiles where that language is taught as a foreign language; prepares students for independent further study and improvement in accordance with the specific needs of their students, prepares students for monitoring results as well as active participation in professional and scientific research in the field of teaching Turkish and foreign languages in general, i.e. for employment in the economy, culture, in libraries, institutes, commercial offices, etc., where the level of education, linguistic, scientific and methodological competences acquired at the Master's degree in Turkology are required. Since our social community is entering the contemporary European trends of life and work, business and social activity, it is necessary to make significant changes in the way of educating new staff with more flexible forms of study both for teaching invitations and other types of social activity - which means that the opening of the mentioned department will to be open to the possibility of studying and obtaining the title of professor of Turkish language and literature, who will be able to respond to the various demands and needs of society: to be teachers in primary and secondary schools, to be able to do professional and responsible jobs in media and publishing houses, cultural and pedagogical institutions, state authorities - to nurture and develop the beauty of the written and spoken word.
2.2. Evaluation of expediency with regard to the needs of the labor market in the public and private sector

2.3. Compliance with the mission and strategy of the OJ/University Taking into account the political relations between the Republic of Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina today, as well as the centuries-old common history at the cultural, educational, scientific and every other level, the opening of the II cycle at the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica implies the support of future development of these relations. The study of language and literature is a fundamental study at every university that develops humanistic, pedagogical-psychological and educational scientific and professional disciplines. This study represents the cultural and social identity and integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, it is in the interest of the University to have a master's degree in Turkish language and literature within its organizational units.
2.4. Comparability of the study program with the programs of other higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond The study program is harmonized with program studies of the same type at universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also with program studies in the Republic of Turkey.
2.5. Connection with the local community (economy, public institutions) Connection with primary and secondary schools and institutions in the field of culture (museum, library, theater, media houses), but also connection with similar institutions throughout Turkey.

  • affirming the Turkish language in our society and mastering competencies for more direct encounters; affirming economic, cultural and educational cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey
  • mastering the language, culture, and civilization of the Turkic peoples
  • familiarization with the official documents of the Empire and training in reading them (diplomacy and paleography)
  • promoting economic, technical, social, cultural and educational cooperation programs
  • overcoming the unrealistic and ineffective study framework that trains experts to work with people in the form of technical knowledge strictly separated from the value aspect of life
  • mastering modern basic competencies in which knowledge is only part of the competencies for the future
  • encouraging and developing awareness of the importance of language and literature in national culture, as well as the importance of national culture
  • application of acquired knowledge from Turkish literature and culture and their connection with linguistic knowledge
  • interpreting different literary texts
  • independent production of teaching materials
  • analysis and adequate application of the procedures of scientific and school interpretation of the literary text
  • the ability to write professional work in the areas covered by the study (literary criticism, reviews, etc.)
  • the ability to write a short scientific paper in the field of linguistics and literature
  • correct use of modern terms from all areas covered by the study
3.6. Possibility of employment (list of possible employers) and the opinion of organizations related to the labor market on the adequacy of the expected learning outcomes (attach) In accordance with the intended learning outcomes, students who complete their master's studies at the Department of Turkish Language and Literature and obtain the title master's degree in Turkish language and literature I can work in institutes, diplomacy, business, schools, media houses, various cultural institutions, publishing houses, institutes, as professors, translators, proofreaders, proofreaders, editors, publishers, researchers, editors, mediators...

The number of students at lectures and exercises depends on the number of enrolled students. The number of students at the exercises is made according to the optimal teaching group of students for exercises and work in the seminar (Art. 12.
