Students of the English Language and Literature Department of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zenica are participating in the SPARK 2: Skilled Youth, Empowered Communities project, which is being implemented in partnership with the British Council in Sarajevo. As part of the project, a one-day workshop was held in Sarajevo on 6.12.2025, where students had the opportunity to discuss contemporary educational challenges with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, H.E. Julian Reilly.<\/p>\n

The workshop covered topics in the areas of identity, culture and environment, intercultural and peace pedagogies, and contemporary approaches to the application of artificial intelligence in education. Students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of these contents and learn how these topics can be incorporated into English language teaching, as well as why they are important for today's global, intercultural and technologically advanced society. The workshop also included the development of project ideas, mentoring planning and structuring of projects, and a final evaluation of teamwork.<\/p>\n

The workshop was attended by students of the Faculty of English Language and Literature at the University of Zenica: Adna Cero, Nejla Telalovi\u0107, Berina Kova\u010d and Mirza Begagi\u0107, led by professors Edina Rizvi\u0107-Eminovi\u0107 and Melisa Burekovi\u0107.<\/p>\n

In addition to the students of the Faculty of Philosophy of UNZE, the participants were also students of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade, the University of Mostar and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo, which gave the workshop a distinct regional dimension and provided an opportunity for mutual exchange of ideas and experiences.<\/p>\n

In the following period, students will work in mixed teams on writing projects, which will be followed by a final event and presentation of project activities.<\/p>\n
