Students of the Faculty of Philosophy, majors Culture and tourism<\/strong> and Cultural studies<\/strong> actively participated in the workshop entitled "When the Community Reacts: Mechanisms for the Protection of Journalists in Practice", which was held on November 5 in Zenica. The workshop was organized by the Local Foundation Zenica and the Association of BH Journalists, with the support of SafeJournalists.<\/p>\n

The aim of the workshop was to familiarize participants with mechanisms for protecting journalists in cases of threats, pressure or attacks, and to strengthen cooperation between the media, local communities and academia. The participation of students enabled young people to gain insight into professional standards and ethical challenges faced by journalists in BiH through practical examples.<\/p>\n

The Secretary General of the Association of BH Journalists, Borka Rudi\u0107, emphasized the importance of education on journalist safety, while the President of the Zenica Journalists' Club, Velida Kulenovi\u0107, emphasized that workshops of this type allow young students to connect with professionals and understand the importance of solidarity within the media community.<\/p>\n

During the workshop, freelance journalist Almir Panjeta emphasized the importance of ethical reporting and the role of the media in society, adding that the involvement of students in such initiatives contributes to the formation of a new generation of aware and responsible media professionals.<\/p>\n

The participation of students of Culture and Tourism and Cultural Studies shows how the academic community and the media can work together to raise awareness about the protection of journalistic rights and the promotion of professional standards.<\/p>\n
