In the premises of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica, an agreement on cooperation was officially signed today between the Tourist Board of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica. The agreement was signed by the director of TZ ZDK \u0160aban Ibri\u0161imovi\u0107 and the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, prof. Ph.D. Alica Arnaut, which formalized the partnership of these two institutions.<\/p>\n

This agreement represents an important step in establishing closer cooperation between higher education institutions and the culture and tourism sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is especially important in the context of the opening of a new study program Culture and tourism<\/em> at the Faculty of Philosophy, which will enroll its first generation of students from the next academic year.<\/p>\n

The agreement includes a series of joint activities: enabling student internships in institutions and at events coordinated by the ZDK Tourist Board, joint organization of cultural and tourist events, research projects and promotional campaigns, as well as direct involvement of students in the work of the Tourist Board.<\/p>\n

"For years, the Faculty of Philosophy has been building a recognizable profile of an educational institution that actively lives with its community. This agreement is a natural continuation of our determination to provide students not only with knowledge, but also with concrete practical experience, especially important for future experts in the field of culture and tourism," said Dean Prof. Ph.D. Alica Arnaut.<\/p>\n

The director of TZ ZDK, Mr. Ibri\u0161imovi\u0107, expressed satisfaction with the formalization of cooperation, stressing that today's tourism requires professional and innovative personnel who understand the local context, cultural heritage, contemporary creativity and trends. "Together with the Faculty of Philosophy, we are creating the foundations for the development of sustainable and identity-based tourism in our Canton."<\/p>\n

This agreement additionally confirms the strategic orientation of the Faculty of Philosophy towards strengthening the model of practical teaching, field work and connection with the real sector. Also, it represents an example of successful cooperation between the academic community and institutions that deal with the development of the cultural and touristic potential of the region.<\/p>\n

By opening the study program Culture and tourism<\/em>, Zenica and the Zenica-Doboj Canton are becoming a center for educating personnel who will shape the future of the cultural offer and tourist identity of not only the Central Bosnia region, but also the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n
