On Thursday, April 11, 2019, the First Workshop on the Development of Turkology was held in the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sarajevo. The rector of the University of Zenica, prof. Ph.D. Damir Kuki\u0107, dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, prof. Ph.D. Memnuna Hasanica, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature van. prof. Ph.D. Edina Solak, assistant professor Mirza Ba\u0161i\u0107, proofreader Assoc. Ph.D. Yasemin Uzun and Assistant Professor Zeynep T\u00fcrksever, as well as rectors, deans, heads of Turkology departments and teachers and associates engaged in the Turkology departments of the University of Sarajevo, the University of Tuzla, the University "D\u017eemal Bijedi\u0107" in Mostar and the International University in Sarajevo.<\/p>\n

The workshop was divided into two sections, and the first section started with an introductory presentation by Mr. Vasio Ete, the attach\u00e9 for education of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey. After that, the rector of the University of Zenica, prof. Ph.D. Damir Kuki\u0107, who particularly emphasized that the Department of Turkish Language and Literature occupies a very important place at the University of Zenica, but also in the socio-cultural reality of the Zenica-Doboj canton. In his presentation, Mr. Kuki\u0107 also referred to the fact that students show great interest in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, primarily because Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey are connected by strong and unbreakable cultural and historical ties. Mr. Kuki\u0107 presented a modest gift to the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Haldun Ko\u00e7, as a sign of gratitude for the selfless support that the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey provides to the University of Zenica.<\/p>\n

Representatives of the Yunus Emre Institute and the Oriental Institute in Sarajevo participated in the second section. This section discussed the problems, shortcomings and difficulties faced by teachers and associates involved in the teaching process at the departments of Turkology, but special attention was also paid to ideas and activities that should result in the improvement of the teaching process at the departments of Turkish language and literature. All participants agreed with the statement that the workshop was productive and that it provides a guarantee that better days await turkology.<\/p>\n

On 11 Nisan 2019, T\u00fcrkiye Cumhuriyeti Saraybosna B\u00fcy\u00fckel\u00e7ili\u011fi himayelerinde T\u00fcrkiye Cumhuriyeti E\u011fitim M\u00fc\u015favirli\u011fi \u015far\u0131n\u0131 1. T\u00fcrkoloji \u00c7al\u0131\u015ftay\u0131 d\u00fczenle\u015fmir. \u00c7al\u0131staya Bosna Hersek has T\u00fcrk Dili ve Edebiyat\u0131 departments throughout Zenica \u00dcniversitesi, Tuzla \u00dcniversitesi, Saraybosna \u00dcniversitesi and Mostar Cemal Biyedi\u00e7 \u00dcniversitesi Rector, dean, department heads and academic personnel. \u00c7al\u0131\u015ftay'\u0131n ilk beh\u00fcti E\u011fitim M\u00fc\u015faviri Say\u0131n Vasi Ete Bey'in konumas\u0131 ile started up. Zenica \u00dcniversitesi Rectori Prof. dr. Damir Kuki\u0107 \u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 konu\u015fumas\u0131nda T\u00fcrk dili ve edebitat\u0131 \u00e7e\u015finin \u0131\u015f\u0131m\u0131nden ve \u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n bu \u00e7\u0131k\u0131pile kar\u015f\u0131 sempatisinden bahsetimi\u015ftir. T\u00fcrkiye ve Bosna d\u0131nd\u0131r\u0131nda tarihi ve k\u00f6kl\u00fc \u0131s\u0131lar\u0131\u015fere de\u011finen sayin rekt\u00f6r\u00fcm\u00fcz Damir Kuki\u0107, the program ends T\u00fcrkiye Cumhuriyeti Saraybosna B\u00fcy\u00fckel\u00e7isi Haldun Ko\u00e7'a davetlerinin bir tersekk\u00fc\u00fc olarak hediye takdiminde bulunmustur.<\/p>\n
