On Tuesday, December 4, 2018, in the premises of the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica, a debate was held on the topic: "Women in Bosnia and Herzegovina participate equally in political, economic and cultural life and contribute equally to the development of society as a whole as men". The debate was organized under the auspices of the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, with the aim of encouraging discussions about gender equality and discrimination at the academic level, including students and professors.<\/p>\n
The affirmative team was made up of students from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica, consisting of: Tamara Jak\u0161i\u0107, a 4th-year student of the Department of Cultural Studies, then Elmin Fehri\u0107, a 2nd-year student of the Department of Cultural Studies and Emin Ali\u0107, a 3rd-year student of the Department of Class Teaching, while Negacijska the team consisted of Ilma Hercegovac Law Faculty students, Vinko Stjepi\u0107 and Amina Pipo. After a dynamic and interesting confrontation with numerous arguments, the Commission composed of Prof. Ph.D. Spahija Kozli\u0107, Faculty of Law, Prof. Ph.D. Esad Deliba\u0161i\u0107, Faculty of Philosophy and M.sc. Milo\u0161 Bogi\u010devi\u0107, OSCE, had a difficult task to decide which team was slightly better. It was decided that the Affirmation team of the Faculty of Philosophy was ultimately better, although, in the Commission's opinion, it had a somewhat more difficult task in finding quality arguments compared to the Negation team.<\/p>\n
Regardless of the final outcome, the debate showed that the University of Zenica can boast of capable young people who are not afraid to publicly express their opinion and support it with clear, precise and quality arguments.<\/p>\n
